If you are curious about CrossFit, come to one of our free taster classes! We will give you a fun introduction to CrossFit and a short workout so you can get an idea of how CrossFit works. Classes run Saturday's from 12-1pm. Book your place using our online booking system on the Schedule & Memberships page.
Take the next step by signing up to our 3-week Fundamentals course. The course consists of 3 x two hour sessions, where you will be introduced to CrossFit through lectures, movements, and workouts (WODs). Each session builds on the previous one and so it is important to try and make all of them. Fundamentals classes run weekends (usually Sunday morning at 10:30am). See our schedule for details.
Each class will be led by a CF-L1 coach and you will be introduced to CrossFit’s fundamental movements, get accustomed to the different equipment we use, get used to the feel of how a class runs and gradually progress in intensity (how hard we work you) as the sessions progress. This course has been designed to meet the fitness levels of any individual who possesses the desire to be better. It is the best starting point for people who have never done any type of training or those who have a good base level of fitness but have never worked with the diversity of movements that we use in CrossFit.
By the end of the course all your fears and apprehensions will be a distant memory and you will be ready to transition into the main classes. At the end of the 3 weeks you will have access to 2 free WOD Classes to start you off on your CrossFit journey.
Once you have completed the fundamentals course you will be able to take part in our CrossFit group classes, open gym sessions, seminars and specialist classes.
This is where the real fun begins. A WOD Class comprises the 'workout of the day' performed in a group setting. WODs are coached and include warm-up, skill work, and a warm-down. WOD Classes last approx. 1 hour. Classes will run early morning and evenings. See our schedule for details.
Open Gym is time where you can catch up on a missed WOD, work your weakness, hit a main site WOD, do some mobility work – the choice is yours. Our trainers will be on hand to help you refine your technique or programme a WOD to suit a specific need. Open Gym will run afternoon/early evening. See our schedule for details.
We will be holding seminars and specialist classes periodically in addition to our regular class and training options. Be it a lecture on nutrition, a class on kettlebells, a gymnastics workshop, a rowing clinic, or an Olympic weightlifting seminar. This is part of what makes CrossFit so great, there is always a new skill to acquire or a existing skill to master. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and schedule for details.
You can use private coaching in a variety of ways: as an alternative way of learning the movements and techniques required to the join the group classes; as an ongoing method of training if you feel like the group classes are not yet for you; as an addition to the group classes if you would like to receive specialist coaching on a particular technique or movement; as a method of conducting more specialised training specifically for a sport or an event; or if you are injured or recovering from an injury and would just like to take things at your own pace. Please contact us to book private coaching sessions.
